1925 Christian Pfeiffer builds a workshop in Beckum for producing parts for cement plants, an industry concentrated in this area.

1930 The company grows. Fabrication halls are built and the machinery is expanded. Christian PFEIFFER diaphragms are registered to be patented.

1939 Production and delivery of the first air separator.

1948 Fabrication of the first Heyd air separator.

1949 Christian PFEIFFER exports the first complete system.

1955 First allocation of technology licenses. 

1956 Modernization and capacity increase of the production facilities.

1960 The first diaphragm for five meter diameter mills are built. Additional patents are granted to Christian PFEIFFER.

1967 Introduction of the wear resistant coating, PFEITOLIT®.

1970 Slotted plate production automated. Multi-stage heat treatment developed.

1975 Second generation mill diaphragms are tested and optimised.

1980 The first CPB, Third Generation, adjustable mill diaphragms are being installed. Start up of the first 7.5 meter diameter Heyd air separator. Rolled steel wear plates continue to gain acceptance as a viable alternative to cast plates. New steel alloys are developed during optimisation of mill diaphragm plates. 

1987 Development of the High Efficiency Separator, QDK.

1988 AMERICAN PFEIFFER, the first foreign subsidiary is founded in the U.S.A.

1993 Trademark application for ALLMAX® wear resistant grinding media. Christian PFEIFFER mill diaphragms in operation exceed 5,000 worldwide.

Liezen works - Austria 

1995 Christian PFEIFFER introduces composite materials for mill diaphragms. Research and development of alternative materials and adhesive techniques continues.
